Level 7 and 8 are the highest levels in this QJamTracks road map for learning guitar. In these levels you learn the most demanding subjects, techniques and theory. Completing these two levels makes you a very complete high level and skilled musician with an infallible knowledge of music concepts. This doesn’t mean that there’s nothing more to learn beyond this road map. On the contrary, a musician will never stop learning…

Chords and harmony
Comping using bass-lines to connect the chords. Learn to play and use “exotic” chords and special uncommon chord shapes. Learn about the “diminished portal” as a modulation technique. Learn how to create modal chord progression as opposed to functional harmony progression.
Scales
Learn the melodic minor scale, the hexatonic whole tone scale, diminished scale and and learn how to apply these scales over chords.
Learn all the modes of the harmonic minor scale.
Technique and improvisation
Use solely pentatonic scales for modal improvisation. Learn to improvise over the different 7th chords with all the things you have learned.
Learn the two-hand tapping technique. 
Picking technique
Elaborate on sweep picking and add tapping technique to sweep picking.
Arpeggios
Learn extended chord arpeggios and add tapping technique to the arpeggios you already know.
Lear to play scale arpeggios that contain all the notes of the scale and start with quartal arpeggios.
Theory
Learn about the concept of modal interchange or modal mixture and learn all about the modes of the harmonic minor scale and how to use them. Lear about quartal and quintal harmony.
