Superimpose Pentatonic scales For Rock Fusion and Jazz
Superimpose Pentatonic scales For Rock Fusion and Jazz
In this e-book we are going to explore the possibilities to play the minor Pentatonic scale chords from another key. We will layer the Pentatonic scale over chords in a way that wouldn't be the obvious choice. In this way we can create beautiful chord extensions and modes with a simple Pentatonic scale.
We're going to look at the essence of superimposing and create chord extensions over major, minor and dominant chords. we'll create modal sounds like Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian and Locrian.
It's also possible to create an altered scale sound with straightforward Pentatonic scale by using the major Pentatonic b6 scale, which is a mode of the melodic minor scale.
