Collection: Learning guitar - Level 8

Level 7 and 8 are the highest levels in this QJamTracks road map for learning guitar. In these levels you learn the most demanding subjects, techniques and theory. Completing these two levels makes you a very complete high level and skilled musician with an infallible knowledge of music concepts. This doesn’t mean that there’s nothing more to learn beyond this road map. On the contrary, a musician will never stop learning…

Chords and harmony
In this level you’ll learn quartal and quintal chord shapes and how to use them in music. Also, you’ll study the scale you already know by playing them in triads and 7th chords.
Scales
Learn the harmonic major scale, the double harmonic major scale, ethnic and exotic pentatonic scales, Lydian dominant and altered scale.
Technique and improvisation
Learn to improvise over the less common 7th chords like dim7, minMaj7, dominant altered chords, maj7#5 chords, etc. Learn about outside playing techniques. 
Learn to improvise with some of the modes of the melodic minor scale.
Arpeggios
Learn to play some of the scales you use frequently in chord arpeggios (arpeggio of every chord of the scale)
Theory
Learn all about the modes of the melodic minor scale, harmonic major scale and modes of the double harmonic major scale.
Learn about the concept of negative harmony.
