In this e-book with accompanying audio files you'll find practice routines to grasp the essence of a scale or mode. The routines consist of playing the characteristic chords of the scale and their inversions, a scale run and arpeggios of the characteristic chords. Everything packed in one dense exercise. This will help you to train your ears and get a feel for the sound of the scale. In the same time you practice your technique and dexterity. There are practice routines for the modes of the major scale, the harmonic minor scale, the phrygian dominant scale and the melodic minor scale.

Great system

A great system for conjuring the quality of each mode. I’m not sure, but there could be a few typo’s that lead to a bit of confusion, or maybe I’m still learning. Either way this is a great lesson

Perfect for daily exercises.

It’s one thing to know the modes, it’s another to incorporate them into your playing. With this excellent E-Book, Rob lays the 7 modes out “crystal clear” then provides examples to put them directly to use. You can cycle through the modes to learn how they feel, practice some triads, then play the licks over the chords using a looper. Do this for 30-60 minutes every couple practice sessions and you will quickly add them to your songwriting and regular jam sessions.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Rob and QJam Tracks is the definitive source for online guitar instruction. My playing has improved greatly in the last few years (I started playing guitar in 1992!) due to his programs.

Excellent guitar -music theory- resource.
