In music we can create interesting superimpositions by layering two different harmonic entities. This technique is called superimposing and can be applied to music and other art-forms too. The sum of the two entities transcend the individual parts.

This can be applied by using different scales and arpeggios over certain chords and even different chords over other chords. In this e-book we zoom in on how to use minimalistic triads of one tonality over chords with another tonality. For instance a C major triad over a Dm chord.

The result is a beautiful and interesting sonic experience that is fairly easy to play and easy to apply in your solos. We will look at the possibilities for minor 7th chord, major 7th chord and - the most interesting option - dominant 7th chords, where we will use triads from the altered scale.

Helpful preliminary knowledge (some explanation is also in the e-book):
- basic knowledge of triads
- basic knowledge of 7th chords and extended chords
